SEO Account Manager

Are you all about Google, Search Engine Optimisation, Search Engines, Algorithms, SEO (see what we did there)?
I’m guessing because you’re here reading all about this opportunity, that SEO is definitely your jam. And I’d be comfortable to assume that you know a thing or two about what ‘good’ SEO is.
Excellent. Read on, friend.
Who are we you ask? Well we are a Brisbane digital marketing agency based in Morningside who are legit geeks when it comes to Google and work extremely hard to create long-lasting partnerships with our clients. We are proactive around keeping up to date on all the digital things and celebrate the week with a wine and some fun on Friday afternoons.
So, where do you come in? If 2020 taught business owners anything it is the importance having a strong online presence and we have seen steady growth especially within our SEO Department meaning it’s time to bring on some fresh new talent to help our clients exceed their goals in 2021 and beyond.
We are looking for someone with circa 2 years of SEO experience (ideally agency side) who views SEO as one of the levers that need to be pushed and pulled in order to get clients some red-hot results.We’re looking for someone who is a substantially technical individual yet creative in their thought processes, and we’d like to think you’re someone that knows a thing or two about writing great content. And it absolutely goes without saying that our ideal person has some pretty tidy client facing skills, because you’ll be working fairly closely with your client base, providing them with insights, recommendations, and ensuring that whilst they may not understand SEO and all of its intricacies, that they understand the SEO journey and what to expect.
You probably already know what a role like this entails, but I know ya’ll like dot points; so here goes:
  • Ducking, weaving, strategising, and leveraging all of the ‘COOL’ tools like Sem Rush, Search Console, Screaming Frog, or any of your personal faves that get the job done!
  • Hanging out a tonne in Google Analytics, of course.
  • Developing some super white-hat link building strategies, as well as doing a bunch of keyword research and the creation of meta information.
  • Managing content creation and distribution as well as implementing technical SEO changes.
  • All the reporting, but being quite discerning about how you do it, and innately understanding how each of your clients like to be reported to.
  • Getting down and dirty in the strategy, planning and executing of all clients in your folio; and
  • Doing a bunch of SEO audits for your client’s websites and providing insights in and around potential improvements.

About the role:
Gordon Digital is growing and it’s time to bring on some fresh sales talent to take us to the next level. 
We’re legit geeks 🤓
What you will be doing as our new sales consultant: 
You will be making 30+ outbound calls per hour, prospecting small to medium businesses around Australia offering appointments for the sales team to offer PPC services that help these businesses grow on Google.Ultimately, your role is to generate new business for Gordon Digital through cold calling prospective clients.
